You have a low testosterone result and want children in the future. The important decision is not which tablet has the more promising name. It is whether the result explains your symptoms, what is causing it, and how treatment could affect fertility.
Clomid and enclomiphene appear together in online searches because they are related medicines. That does not make them interchangeable.
Are enclomiphene and Clomid the same medicine?
No: Clomid contains clomifene, a mixture of two isomers, whereas enclomiphene is one of those isomers.
An isomer is a form of a molecule with the same chemical formula but a different arrangement. You may see the spellings clomiphene and enclomifene in international sources. The name on the prescription should still match the active ingredient on the pack.
Both belong to a group called selective oestrogen receptor modulators. In selected men, changing this hormone feedback can encourage the body’s own testosterone production. That is different from supplying testosterone directly.

Does enclomiphene have better evidence for men?
It has evidence for raising testosterone, but that is not the same as proving better wellbeing or a successful pregnancy.
The EMA refused the EnCyzix application in 2018. The agency noted that the submitted studies measured testosterone and sperm production without establishing improvement in symptoms such as libido or impotence. Claims that the single isomer reliably prevents mood, visual or breast-related side effects go further than that evidence. Ask which outcome a proposed treatment is meant to improve, and how it will be assessed. A laboratory number alone is an incomplete treatment goal.

The Endocrine Society recommends repeat morning testing and investigation of the cause. Symptoms such as fatigue and reduced sexual interest can have more than one explanation.
