Direct Meds Privacy Notice

This notice covers the Direct Meds storefront. The checkout provider presents separate terms and privacy information for the personal, delivery and payment details entered during checkout.

Information stored in your browser

You can browse Direct Meds without creating a storefront account. The site uses browser storage for cart selections, currency choice, theme preference and a first-visit referrer. It also stores limited session information used by the site, such as country and edge-response status where available. Clearing this site’s browser data removes those stored values.

Cart selections can indicate an interest in a health topic. Avoid using a shared device if retaining those selections could expose private information to someone else.

Checkout

When you continue to checkout, the selected offer and quantity information is sent so the checkout provider can confirm the current offer and present the transaction. Personal, delivery and payment details are entered under the checkout provider’s terms and privacy information.

Analytics and operational records

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are not configured for Direct Meds at the time of this update. If either service is enabled, this notice and the site’s consent controls must be updated before it is used.

Hosting, security and content-delivery providers may process technical request information, such as IP address, browser information, requested URL and security signals, to operate and protect the site. These operational records are not a medical record.

Your privacy rights

The Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) gives South African data subjects rights in relation to personal information, subject to the Act and the circumstances of processing. The Information Regulator publishes information about POPIA and how to raise a concern.

Direct Meds has not yet published a dedicated privacy contact on this storefront. Do not send a privacy request, identity document, card details or medical history to an unverified address claiming to represent Direct Meds.

Direct Meds is intended for adults. It is not designed to collect information from children or to support a child ordering medicine without an authorised adult and any required professional oversight.
