Bilastine

How your body handles bilastine

Ilaxten is the brand-name version of bilastine, listed for Allergic Rhinoconjunctivitis and Urticaria within Allergy Relief. Because bilastine is not broken down by the liver and leaves the body unchanged through urine and stool, liver problems are not expected to raise its levels. In moderate or severe kidney impairment, however, combining bilastine with medicines such as ketoconazole, erythromycin, cyclosporine, ritonavir or diltiazem may increase its blood levels and should be avoided.
