How does Fluconazole work?

Fluconazole belongs to the triazole class of Antifungals. It interferes with the fungus’s ability to build the cell membrane it needs to grow and multiply. Without a working membrane, the fungus cannot spread through the body. This is why fluconazole can treat a range of yeast and fungal infections, from vaginal thrush to deeper systemic disease.
