What is ivermectin used for?

Ivermectin is used to treat onchocerciasis, strongyloidiasis and rosacea. It is given as a tablet for intestinal worm infections or as a cream for rosacea. In people who are immunocompromised, its effectiveness for intestinal strongyloidiasis has not been established.
